Tea with FI IAs

Had tea with Florence and Carrie after work this evening. It's the first time for we three, IAs of different financial institutions, to have after-work tea together. Met at the middle point – Lan Kwai Fong Watson's – and we set off to Hang Fa Lou for our late tea. Nice talk, nice food ... expect for the fried carrot cakes which tasted a bit strange.

When we're about to leave Lan Kwai Fong, Florence suddenly recalled that there'd be Mark Six lottery tonight with huge prize money. Headed to the off-course betting branch at Stanley Street immediately, Carrie was just in time to get a last-minute ticket; Florence, who initiated to go there, bought nothing. So each of them shared half of the lottery ticket fee, and then started to dream about how to use prize money upon winning ...

Interview confirmation

Received call from Emmy. Her client was interested to have an interview with me. Did that mean I performed well in aptitude tests? Anyway, she claimed that she has told her client that I'm totally green for the position, and she kept on telling me not to mind about my nil experience in the position. Was it? Felt so strange that I'm going to have interview for a job which I didn't have a concrete idea. Really. After glancing through job descriptions of those positions, wasn't quite sure about the nature of work still. Just wait and see how it'll be going on, though I don't really have much expectation.

「阿佘」的免費午餐

阿佘，是我之前那一個 job 的 auditee 。因為人事複雜，憤憤不平的他，常常在我們 audit fieldwork 期間向我和同事 Ame 投訴；偏偏我們生性樂觀、慈悲為懷，於是就充當起心理輔導員。

今天，他找到新工作辭職了，為了答謝恩人 (很誇張，但他是這樣叫我們的嘞 #_#!!)，特地由炮台山跑到中環來請我們吃「和民」 ... 嘿嘿，多謝! =P 他將會到香港廸士尼工作，看他一提起就笑容燦爛，真開心吖!

APM

晚上約了余寶雯、李慧君、趙可殷和刁曉君在 APM 的紅螞蟻吃晚飯。黃昏前就抵達 APM 了，面對人山人海的商場，自閉的我匆匆走進 food court 旁的書店。只看了三本完全不同類型的書 --- 邵氏的《百媚千嬌》、某某人寫的《All About Wedding 2004-5 結婚黃頁大全年刊》和 Reuters 的 Financial Training Series 《An Introduction to Derivatives》。

八時左右，晚餐開始。今晚得到的三個消息：
(一) Ida Lam 年底要結婚了，日子正是同房結婚之前的一天。
(二) 刁曉君年半後就會榮升為 Professor Tiu。
(三) 某某和某某叫趙可殷快點再辦 7C re-u gathering。

今天突然想通 APM 為什麼要叫著 APM，真聰明吖 *,* 嘿嘿 ...

花盆

怎麼想找一個盆底有氣孔、有盆蓋的花盆這麼困難嘞? 難道現在的人不會由零開始自己去種植物，而都是去買現成嗎? 那麼怎會培養出深厚的感情呢?

見工

本日為短週，但也早起了，因為要見工。又要筆試又要面試，想見的那一個經理出了 trip ，不太想見和不想見的那兩個經理卻出現，而且談上個半小時，真麻煩吖!

覺得麻煩，我想是因為我不喜歡。還未加盟就已經不喜歡，不是好現象 ... 唯一令我欣賞的，是對方斬釘截鐵地說我要求的人工絕不成問題，夠爽快! 可我看我還未至於要屈就自己的星期六來換取這待遇嘞，除非 ...

Balalaika

Balalaika 是家俄羅斯餐廳，平時吃多了中西日菜，今晚為饞嘴的何女士慶祝生日，總要吃點特別的東西。

一晚下來，食物尚算可以罷! 不過，我想我還是別當俄羅斯人好了。

倒是餐廳的俄羅斯歌舞音樂表演挺不錯，還有結冰的酒窖，要穿上餐廳的皮裘才可入內參觀。可我和何曉珊是比較享受穿皮裘時嘲笑對方的過程嘞，怕凍的她踏入冰窖不到五秒就嚷著要出來。

鄧詠琳和雷碧華親手造了一個雲石芝士蛋糕。唱過生日歌後，我們一起品嚐，味道相當不俗 =) 何曉珊說自己也要弄蛋糕，對李政立說她上一次造過曲奇餅，我可以做證! 於是我好心的提醒她，「上一次」已是一年前的事，她來年不知道甚麼時候才再有焗蛋糕的興致 ... =P

落湯雞

返工、等放工。今晚CUSA98 + 蘇海明 + 梁善儀 + 雷碧華到諾士佛臺的 Balalaika 莊聚，慶祝何曉珊廿六大壽 ... 哎吖，不對吖，她已榮登為「何女士」了 ... 嘿嘿 =P

為了引證「貴人出門招風雨」，當我近六時離開公司大樓的時候，天就開始下大雨。身在上環的何曉珊，致電來說她被雨淋得濕透了。我站在天橋好一會，雨勢毫無轉弱的跡象，心想走到往 HSBC 的天橋只需三分鐘，不打緊罷! 於是撐著雨傘奮勇向長江公園直走。到達太子大廈和蘇海明會合的時候，我已經成了半隻「落湯雞」 @_@ 乘地鐵到尖沙嘴，人山人海，尖沙嘴站還有人潮管制操施，真誇張!

終於到達美麗華商場，和何曉珊一起到「殘廁」處理濕透的鞋。雨勢持續，其他人都遲到了。結果七時半的晚餐，要八時半才開始。

Busy Night

Gotta have all those aptitude tests and forms completed by tonight. Kept on clicking answers for multiple choice questions, followed by copying all those I typed in Word documents to the form. It's really a SUPER TIRING process >_< !!!

Aptitude test

Got call from Emmy again. This time she came with an opportunity which required assessment through aptitude test as the first step. To be frank, I liked this one much more than the one she referred yesterday; however, I didn't wanna work on the aptitude test at all =( Anyway, I needed to complete it, right?

Happy Birthday Emily!

Today is Emily's birthday. For sure she had dinner with her hubby Bernard. I and Alvis had a conference call with her late at night (well, should be late night for Emily but active time for both me and Alvis). Alvis named her "Ms. Ho" once he got in the conference, and Emily defended against it right away. Just felt like two kids were arguing for trivial stuff =P It's a funny and nice conversation anyway; and again, we spent much time on praising ourselves, recalling times in university and talking about "8" stuff especially "relationship developments" AMONG our dear chong mates ... hehe *,* I guess we would still keep on talking things we did in university even we are 90, if we live that long! Haha ...

Promotion news

The promotion list was publicly announced by Human Resources Department through e-mail to all staff this afternoon. I dared not step out the little "prison" of Internal Audit Department at all --- My auditees would chase after me for desserts for sure if they see me!! *_*

Anyway, it's no way better to stay inside the prison. My boss came out from his room and sought for a treat again and again. Why is my boss so naive??? @_@

New colleague

We've a new joiner today. My boss claimed that the new joiner, who was one of his old old ex-colleagues, admired him very much. Upon hearing that one month ago, everybody thought the admirer was a girl. Indeed, HE is a MAN. Moreover, we couldn't trace any track of admirations from eyes of our new colleague when he looked at our stupid boss.

Yes, that's my boss. He's really a stupid guy. Let him go on living in his dream. Ooop ...

Good morning Emmy

Woke up at 6.30am sharp in order to catch up the meeting with Emmy at 8.05am. However, it turned out that Emmy was late @_@!! She kept on saying sorry for her 5-minute late all the way from the back exit door to the reception area, but her reasoning was poor --- traffic jam on Island Eastern Corridor. Everybody know it's almost impossible to have traffic jam over there early in the morning, especially after the fare increment for using Eastern Harbour Crossing Tunnel. Anyway, I provided her with a better excuse, "It's pouring like dog outside!"

Other than that, Emmy was a nice girl indeed. She's friendly, talkative, energetic, direct and helpful. Someone told me she's beautiful, but I'd rather say she's charming. She's an interesting person to talk to; when she kept on reading, she suddenly shouted, "I thought you've been raised in a foreign university." "Well, I'm 100% HK student!" Then both of us laughed. It's a funny morning. Nice to meet you, Emmy! =)
